Flood Lights

The BSAT Committee of Management are pleased to announce the recent installation of flood lighting at the venue. Thanks to the Whitehorse Council, athletes participating at the track can now enjoy greater access to the facility with operating hours lengthened to cater for night sporting fixtures and other recreational activities. The lighting assets represent a significant improvement in the standing of the BSAT track amongst other track and pitch venues in the municipality. At a cost of more than $550,000 the four lighting towers will provide an average resolution of 100 lux, larger uniform light spread, cheaper ongoing maintenance costs and a more environmentally sensitive lighting solution for many years into the future. The Committee are delighted with this significant improvement to the facility and the continuing enjoyment of it to everyone in our community.
